Qualifications

• ASN required.
• BSN preferred.
• 1–2 years RN experience in Medical Surgical/Telemetry or Acute Care settings preferred.
• Current RN license in the state of practice or Compact RN license.
• BLS certification required.
• ACLS certification preferred or required per facility policy.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care.
• Monitor patient conditions, recognize changes in clinical status, and communicate findings to the healthcare team.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, and treatments per orders and policies.
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and ongoing evaluation of progress.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care.
• Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, medications, treatments, discharge planning, and health maintenance.
• Maintain accurate electronic medical records and clinical documentation.
• Respond to medical emergencies and changes in patient condition.
• Adhere to infection prevention, patient safety, HIPAA, and quality improvement standards.
• Float to other units as assigned and within competency.
