Job summary

University of Maryland Upper Chesapeake Health (UM UCH) is seeking a Registered Nurse for Med Surg Telemetry, dayshift, full-time, with a $15,000 sign-on bonus. You will deliver patient-centered care, collaborate with the multidisciplinary team, and contribute to quality and safety goals within a supportive nursing leadership environment.

Qualifications

• MD RN licensure required or eligible per MD Board of Nursing compact
• More than 12 months nursing experience
• Current AHA BLS certification
• Must meet unit-specific certification: Basic Arrhythmia Recognition and NIHSS

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate independent care to patients within a clinical specialty.
• Serve as a clinical resource for others.
• Apply and integrate evidence into practice.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to plan and coordinate care.
• Model practice aligned with unit operations and patient-centered care.
• Participate in recruitment, training and unit governance activities.
• Demonstrate leadership in charge nurse responsibilities.
