Job summary

Medical City Dallas is seeking an experienced RN for Med/Surg Tele to provide high-quality, patient-centered care and collaborate with physicians and care teams to ensure positive clinical outcomes. The role emphasizes multidisciplinary teamwork, patient advocacy, and education to patients and families.

The RN will practice within established nursing models and contribute to a patient experience aligned with the hospital's standards of care and mission.

Qualifications

• ACLS within 30 days of employment start date.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) within 30 days of employment start date.
• RN – Registered Nurse
• Associate Degree

Responsibilities

• Assess the patient's condition during admission and each scheduled shift, promptly identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
• Administer prescribed medications, monitor the patient for therapeutic response, and take appropriate action in the event of an unintended response to the medication.
• Provide exceptional care by responding promptly to patient requests, proactively anticipating patient needs, and resolving them.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers about the patient's medical condition, treatment plan, medications, possible side effects, and follow-up measures, ensuring complete understanding by translating complex medical terminology.
