Job summary

Advocate Health in Winston-Salem, NC seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) - New Graduate for the Med/Surg Overflow unit. The 9-bed unit handles diverse diagnoses, direct admissions, pre-surgical patients, and recovery cases with evolving responsibilities.

The role is full-time with night shifts (three 12-hour shifts weekly) and weekend/holiday rotations. A sign-on bonus is available for eligible applicants; strong EHR documentation skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• Active RN license with privileges to practice in the state(s) where care is provided.
• Night shift experience or willingness to work nights.

Responsibilities

• Engage in governance and quality initiatives to improve care.
• Use nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement and evaluate care.
• Monitor patient conditions, adjust care plans and collaborate with the team.
• Uphold a culture of safety and maintain EHR documentation.
• May administer medications per protocols and provide patient/family education.
• Float to other units as needed and adapt to age-specific needs.
