Fairview Southdale Hospital's 3rd Floor Orthopedic Surgical Specialty Unit is a 26-bed unit focused on orthopedic care. The Registered Nurse will assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care for assigned populations, coordinating with the health care team to ensure an integrated plan.
The role operates on a 60-hour per pay period schedule with 12-hour day shifts (7:00 am–7:30 pm) and every third weekend.

The 3rd Floor Orthopedic Surgical Specialty Unit is a 26 bed adult Medical/Surgical unit focuses on patients with an orthopedic diagnosis and was completed in the Fall of 2021. This position is 60 hours per pay period,12 hour day shifts (7:00am-7:30pm), with every third weekend (Friday, Saturday and Sunday).
The Registered Nurse is responsible for the assessment, planning, delivery, and evaluation of nursing care for all assigned patient population(s). The RN is responsible for performing these responsibilities in accordance with all policy, procedures, professional practice guidelines and the MN Nurse Practice Act. The RN coordinates care with members of the health care team and delegates responsibilities to others as appropriate.
