Job summary

Mercy Health in Youngstown, OH is seeking a Registered Nurse in a Medical/Surgical role. The position is full-time (36 hours per week) with Day/Night rotation, welcoming new grads to apply.

You will provide comprehensive nursing care, coordinate with a multidisciplinary team, and contribute to patient education and safety. Required criteria include an active RN license and strong nursing skills; BLS is preferred on hire and additional certifications are encouraged.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in state of practice or compact state.
• BLS Basic Life Support preferred upon hire; must obtain prior to direct patient care.
• RN-BC, CCRN, PCCN, CMSRN, NIH Stroke certifications are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete patient assessments and maintain nursing care plans.
• Administer medications safely per policies and procedures.
• Provide patient and family education and discharge planning.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team for quality patient care.
• Act as patient safety advocate and contribute to quality improvement.
