Job summary

Sanford Health in Thief River Falls, MN is seeking a compassionate RN to join our OB/Med/Surg team on a PRN basis. The RN will primarily support the Obstetrics unit while flexing to Med/Surg as needed, ensuring continuity of care for mothers and babies.

You will follow the nursing process to deliver individualized care and collaborate with a skilled multidisciplinary team. Required: RN license and training in Labor & Delivery, plus BLS/ACLS/NRP and fetal monitoring.

Qualifications

• Must be trained in Labor and Delivery and Postpartum Care.
• Required: BLS, ACLS, NRP and Fetal Monitoring and additional education required by the Acute Care department.
• Preferred and will be required: STABLE.
• Med/Surg experience preferred, but not required; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to provide individualized patient care.
• Work independently and with a team of professionals to ensure continuity of care across OB and Med/Surg units.
• Deliver high-quality nursing care and support patients and families through childbirth and recovery.

Join our compassionate, skilled and collaborative Thief River Falls OB/Med/Surg team, where you'll make a meaningful impact during life's most transformative moments. As a PRN RN, you'll primarily support our Obstetrics unit and flex to Med/Surg when OB census is low-ensuring continuity of care across two areas of our hospital.

Qualifications

Must be trained in Labor and Delivery and Postpartum Care

Required: BLS, ACLS, NRP and Fetal Monitoring and additional education required by the Acute Care department

Preferred and will be required: STABLE

Med/Surg experience preferred--but not required. We will train you!

Required to pick up a minimum of 2 shifts every 6 weeks. At least one shift must be an evening, night, weekend, or holiday.

Qualifications

Graduate from an accredited nursing program required, including, but not limited to, American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), and National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA). Bachelor's Degree in nursing preferred.

Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where the practice of nursing is occurring and/or possess multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state. Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications.
