Job summary

Sanford Health in Thief River Falls, MN is seeking a compassionate, registered nurse (RN) to join the OB/Med/Surg team on a PRN basis. The role focuses on obstetrics with cross-coverage for Med/Surg when census dictates, ensuring continuity of care across two hospital areas.

Qualified candidates will have RN licensure, BLS/ACLS/NRP and fetal monitoring credentials, with a BSN preferred. You may be scheduled for a minimum of two shifts every six weeks, including at least one evening, night,

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
• RN license in the state where practice occurs.
• BLS, ACLS, NRP and fetal monitoring required; additional Acute Care certifications as needed.

Responsibilities

• Plans and coordinates patient care, assessment, education, triage and nursing interventions.

Department Details

Join our compassionate, skilled and collaborative Thief River Falls OB/Med/Surg team, where you’ll make a meaningful impact during life’s most transformative moments. As a PRN RN, you’ll primarily support our Obstetrics unit and flex to Med/Surg when OB census is low—ensuring continuity of care across two areas of our hospital.

Qualifications

Must be trained in Labor and Delivery and Postpartum Care

Required: BLS, ACLS, NRP and Fetal Monitoring and additional education required by the Acute Care department

Preferred and will be required: STABLE

Med/Surg experience preferred--but not required. We will train you!

Required to pick up a minimum of 2 shifts every 6 weeks. At least one shift must be an evening, night, weekend, or holiday.

Qualifications

Graduate from an accredited nursing program required, including, but not limited to, American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), and National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA). Bachelor’s Degree in nursing preferred.

Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where the practice of nursing is occurring and/or possess multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state. Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications.
