Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for a busy med-surg unit to provide comprehensive nursing care, promote mobility and patient autonomy, and collaborate with a supportive team. The role requires a valid RN license (IL) and BLS within 30 days, with a sign-on bonus of $10,000 and a 3-year commitment.

The RN will perform initial assessments, develop care plans, document care accurately, and ensure safety and quality standards are met on a fast-paced unit.

Qualifications

• Licensed Registered Professional Nurse (RN) - IL IDFPR
• BLS within 30 days - AHA
• College Diploma in Nursing
• RN >1yr work experience

Responsibilities

• Performs unit-specific nursing duties and documents care.
• Develops plan of care based on assessment and patient/family needs.
• Delegates tasks to HCTrs and validates completion throughout the shift.
• Ensures medication administration follows the 5 Rights and maintains patient safety.
