Job summary

Carilion Franklin Memorial Hospital in Rocky Mount, VA, is seeking an RN for inpatient Medical/Surgical care on the Night shift. The role emphasizes nursing coordination, patient advocacy, and compassionate care for patients and families.

The RN will assess and plan care, collaborate with the team, and use EPIC for documentation. Eligible applicants include Virginia-licensed RNs or those pursuing licensure, with BLS required and ACLS/PALS/NRP possible depending on unit.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing or an approved nursing program eligible to sit for the Virginia RN licensure examination.
• Licensure/Certification: Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in Virginia or eligible to obtain Virginia RN licensure.
• Life Support: AHA BLS-HCP required. May be required to obtain/maintain BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP based on specific work unit.
• Other Minimum Qualifications: Computer skills required for electronic medical record (EPIC).

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care for patients of all ages.
• Collaborate with health care team to develop, implement, and evaluate an age-specific plan of care.
• Administer and document treatments/medications using electronic medical records.
