AdventHealth Lenexa, Kansas, is seeking a registered nurse for a full-time night shift. A $20,000 sign-on bonus is available for eligible candidates and night shift differential of $6 per hour applies.

Qualifications

• RN with an Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• BLS CPR certification required.
• English fluency in reading, writing and speaking.
• Experience in an acute care hospital setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and standards of care, regularly evaluating and revising these plans.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely, following physician orders and hospital protocols, and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, medications, and self-care strategies to promote understanding and adherence.
• Coordinate with medical staff and ancillary departments to optimize patient care and ensure effective communication and teamwork.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient information, care activities, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of care plans and interventions to improve patient health and outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and regulatory requirements to maintain a safe environment.
• Provide emotional support and therapeutic communication to patients and families.
