Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Lakeway, TX is seeking a Registered Nurse for a full-time General Medical Surgical Unit position on the night shift (7pm–7am) with self-scheduling and rotating weekends. The unit handles a variety of medical and post-operative care across multiple services.

The role emphasizes patient assessment, care planning, and coordination with a multidisciplinary team to deliver compassionate, high-quality care in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Nursing as specialized field of study.
• RN license required.
• BLS certification or obtain within 30 days.

Facility: Baylor Scott & White Medical Center - Lakeway, TX

Department: General Medical Surgical Unit, Cardiac, Pulmonology, GI, Urology, General Surgery, some Post Op, Stroke, Dementia, Infectious Disease

Status: Full Time, 36 hrs. per week

Shift: Night Shift, (7pm-7am- self-scheduling with rotating weekends)

40 Beds

Patient Ratio: 5:1

Job Summary

As a Registered Nurse, oversee patient care using a professional practice model. Responsibilities include patient assessment, recognizing health issues, creating care plans, and assessing patient responses. Secure patient travel. Know about patient needs in healthcare. Help patients and prevent issues. Follow the Texas Nursing Practice Act and delegate tasks based on condition and team competencies.
