Job summary

Northern Montana Hospital is seeking an Acute Care Registered Nurse for our Med/Surg/Peds unit. You will assess, coordinate, implement, delegate and evaluate care for patients before, during, and after surgery as well as during acute illness and swing bed stays.

Qualified candidates are graduates of an accredited nursing program, Montana RN licensed, with a preference for 1 year Med/Surg experience. BLS is required; ACLS/PALS optional.

Qualifications

• Minimum requirements: graduate of an accredited nursing program and Montana RN license.
• BLS certification required; ACLS/PALS may be required or encouraged.
• One year Med/Surg experience preferred; 12-hour shifts include holidays, call back and on call.

Responsibilities

• Assess, coordinate, implement, delegate and evaluate delivery of safe, patient-centered care.
• Provide care on the Medical/Surgical/Pediatric unit for diverse patient ages.
• Collaborate with healthcare team to ensure quality outcomes and patient safety.

About the role

$7,500 Discretionary Sign-On BonusAn Acute Care Medical/Surgical/Pediatric Unit (Med/Surg/Peds) Registered Nurse is a self-motivated professional who acts as a support and resource person in the care of patients before or after surgery, during recovery, during acute illness, and during swing bed hospital stays. They are responsible for the assessment, coordination, implementation, delegation, and evaluation of the delivery of safe and effective patient-centered care. The nurse functions in structured care settings described as geographic and/or situational environments where the policies and procedures for provision of health care are established. The Registered Nurse has acquired or will acquire knowledge and develop proficiency in caring for individuals on the Medical/Surgical/Pediatric unit and relative to the ages of patients served.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Registered nurse currently licensed to practice professional nursing by the Montana State Board of Nursing. One year of Med/Surg experience is preferred. BLS certification required; ACLS and PALS Certification optional. This is a 12-hour shift position that includes holidays, call back and on call.
