Job summary

Glenwood Regional Medical Center seeks a Medical Surgical Registered Nurse to direct, plan, and coordinate nursing activities on the Med Surg unit with a focus on patient, physician, and staff needs.

You will support medical care under the Medical Staff and contribute to the hospital's mission and objectives, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Louisiana Nursing License in good standing.
• Previous clinical nursing experience is desired.
• BLS required within 30 days upon hire.
• All other certifications due within 90 days of hire, i.e., ACLS, PALS

Responsibilities

• Direct, plan, and organize nursing activities on the Medical Surgical unit with a focus on patient, physician and staff needs.
• Support the medical care of patients under the direction of the Medical Staff pursuant to the hospital's mission and objectives.
• Collaborate with the medical team to ensure safe, effective patient care and workflow on the Med Surg unit.

The Registered Nurse supports the medical care of patients under the direction of the Medical Staff pursuant to the mission and objectives of the Hospital.
