AdventHealth in Daytona Beach, FL is seeking a Registered Nurse for full-time day shift. The role requires comprehensive patient assessments, care plan development, medication administration, and patient education.

You will collaborate with the medical team, document care activities, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance in a dynamic hospital setting. The ideal candidate holds an Associate’s degree in Nursing (Bachelor’s preferred) with strong communication and organizational skills,

Qualifications

• Organizational and multi-tasking abilities to manage complex patient care.
• Knowledge of nursing care methods and standard procedures.
• Ability to work as a team member within a unit.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and problem-solving skills.
• EKG understanding as part of patient assessment.
• Fluency in English (reading, speaking, writing).
• Basic computer skills and comfort with Windows programs.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments across physiological, psychological, developmental and sociocultural factors.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans, revising as needed.
• Administer medications and treatments safely per orders and protocols.
• Educate patients and families to promote understanding and adherence.
• Collaborate with medical staff to coordinate patient care and ensure teamwork.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient information and outcomes.
• Evaluate care plan effectiveness and adjust to improve outcomes.
• Ensure infection control and safety compliance in the healthcare environment.
• Provide emotional support and therapeutic communication to patients and families.
• Supervise and delegate tasks to healthcare team members.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and performance improvement.
