Job summary

AdventHealth in Daytona Beach, FL is seeking a capable Registered Nurse to join our Full-time day shift. You will perform comprehensive patient assessments, develop individualized care plans, administer medications, educate families, and coordinate care with a multidisciplinary team.

The role requires RN licensure and at least an Associate's degree in nursing, with BSN preferred. Prior acute care hospital experience is desirable.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Nursing required.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
• 1+ year of experience in an acute care hospital setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients across physiological and psychosocial factors.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans and revise as needed.
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and protocols.
• Educate patients and families about conditions and self-care strategies.
• Coordinate with medical staff to optimize patient care and ensure communication.
• Document patient information, care activities, and outcomes accurately.
• Evaluate care plan effectiveness and adjust to improve outcomes.
• Ensure infection control and safety standards are followed.
• Provide emotional support and therapeutic communication to patients and families.
• Supervise and delegate nursing tasks to team members.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and performance improvement.
• Respond to code situations promptly to stabilize patients.
