Job summary

UAB Medicine is seeking a PRN Registered Nurse for the 3 Main, MedSurg department at UAB St Vincent's Birmingham. You will provide direct nursing care, implement care plans, and coordinate multidisciplinary tasks to ensure safe, effective patient progress. The role requires a Diploma in Nursing and an Alabama RN license with BLS.

One year of RN experience is required, and benefits include PTO, parental leave, and tuition reimbursement. Work location is UAB St.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider within 30 days of hire; American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Currently licensed or eligible to be licensed as an RN by the Alabama Board of Nursing.
• Diploma from an accredited nursing program required; licensure at time of hire.
• One year of RN experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care according to policies and protocols.
• Implement and monitor patient care plans; document patient status.
• Coordinate care as primary liaison for multidisciplinary teams.
• Assess and coordinate discharge planning with the healthcare team.
