Job summary

HCA Houston Healthcare Clear Lake in Texas is seeking a Registered Nurse to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in the Med-Surg department. You will collaborate with physicians and the care team, following established nursing models to ensure outstanding patient experiences and positive clinical outcomes.

The role requires a BSN, Texas RN license (or compact), BLS, ACLS within 6 months, and at least one year of Med-Surg experience in an acute care setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing is required.
• Current Texas RN license or Multi-State Compact with Texas licensing within 90 days of hire.
• Current BLS Certification (American Heart Association)
• ACLS Certification (American Heart Association) required within 6 months of hire
• 1 year Med Surg experience as a licensed RN in an acute care setting required

Responsibilities

• Assess the patients condition at admission and each scheduled shift.
• Administer prescribed medications and document care; monitor patient response.
• Provide prompt responses to patient requests and anticipate needs.
• Educate patients and families about the medical condition, treatment plan, medications, and follow-up measures.
