Job summary

Riverside Hospital in Newport News, Virginia is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive nursing care in the Critical Care/Telemetry Complex under supervision of the Nurse Manager and Director.

The RN will assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and ensure quality outcomes. Requires Virginia RN license and CPR/BLS; 1 year RN experience preferred; BSN preferred. PRN night shifts offered (7pm-7am).

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Virginia.
• 1 year RN experience (Required).
• CPR/BLS certification (Required).
• PRN night availability (7pm–7am).

Responsibilities

• Assesses patient clinical and psychosocial needs and contributes to the plan of care.
• Partners with patients and families to implement and evaluate care plans.
• Facilitates safe transitions and coordinates with interdisciplinary teams.
• Ensures timely and accurate clinical & quality documentation per standards.
• Delegates and prioritizes tasks to support patient care needs.
• Recognizes emergencies and uses systems to respond appropriately.
