IU Health is seeking a Clinical Nurse for Med Surg 2, a fast-paced unit caring for surgical and medical patients. You will collaborate with physicians, APPs, and the interdisciplinary team to deliver compassionate, evidence-based care through the hospital stay.

The role emphasizes teamwork, critical thinking, continuous learning, and meaningful impact on patient outcomes. Offers full-time scheduling with 12-hour shifts, weekend/holiday rotation, and professional development opportunities.

Formación

• Requires ASN; BSN preferred.
• Active RN license in Indiana or NLC RN license.
• Graduation from a nationally accredited nursing program with exceptions reviewed by CNO if experience is strong.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through AHA.
• Additional advanced life support certifications may be required per unit policy.

Responsabilidades

• Provide and coordinate evidence-based nursing care across the care continuum.
• Utilize the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, outcomes, planning, intervention, evaluation.
• Monitor patient status and communicate changes to the health care team.
• Administer medications and interventions per policy and standards.
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, and discharge planning.
• Collaborate with physicians, APPs, therapists, care managers, and other staff to achieve goals.
• Participate in decision-making, teaching, and professional development.
• Document care accurately and timely.
• Adhere to ANA standards and nursing ethics.
