Job summary

Flowers Hospital in Dothan, AL is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the 4 South Medical-Surgical unit. This full-time role offers 3x12 hour shifts (7AM–7PM or 7PM–7AM) with rotating weekends and a comprehensive benefits package.

The RN provides patient-centered care, coordinates care plans, administers medications, educates patients and families, and collaborates with the care team to ensure high-quality outcomes in a 29-bed unit.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of experience in a clinical nursing role or student clinical rotations in an acute care setting.
• RN licensure and valid BCLS required; ACLS/PALS/NRP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and delivers high-quality, patient-centered care in accordance with policies and the nursing process.
• Conducts thorough patient assessments and documents findings; reports changes to care team.
• Administers prescribed medications and monitors for side effects.
• Assists physicians during procedures within competency and scope.
• Collaborates with the healthcare team to develop and evaluate individualized care plans.
• Responds to medical emergencies and participates in life-saving interventions as appropriate.
• Provides patient and family education on conditions, plans, and post-discharge care.
