Job summary

Talencia is seeking an experienced RN for the Med-Surg Unit at Tsehootsooi Medical Center in Fort Defiance, AZ. The 20-bed unit treats adults and pediatrics, with favorable staffing ratios and a need for flexibility across day and night shifts.

The contract is 13 weeks, with shared housing available for travelers. Candidates must have 3 years MSU experience, 1 year pediatric, and current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications, and be willing to float to other departments as needed.

Qualifications

• Three years of Med-Surg experience required.
• Minimum 1 year pediatric experience.
• Comfortable caring for both adult and pediatric patients.
• Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Provide RN care on a 20-bed Med-Surg unit for adults and children.
• Float to other departments as needed.
• Maintain safe staffing with favorable ratios.
• Attend staff meetings and flexible shifts including weekends/holidays.

Shift: 12-Hour Day & Night Shift

Pay: $2772/week (Traveller)

Job Description: Registered Nurse for Med-Surg Unit (MSU) for adult geriatrics and pediatric patients. With EXCELLENT Staffing Ratios: Non Covid: typically 4:1, max 5:1. Covid patients: typically 2:1, max 3:1.

Required Certifications: American Heart Association BLS, ACLS. and PALS is required.

Experience: Three (3) years of med-surg experience, 1 year pediatric experience required, MUST BE COMFORTABLE WITH BOTH ADULT AND PEDIATRIC PATIENTS.

Setting: 20 bed medical surgical unit for adults and pediatrics

Shift: 12 hour Day/Night Shift, but must be flexible to work other shifts, weekends and holidays, as needed. In addition to inpatient, may be assigned to help cover Flu Immunization clinics as needed. Travelers are expected to attend staff meetings.

Housing: Shared Housing Available

Other: Travelers are occasionally expected to float to other departments in which they are qualified to work. This could include taking a patient load if experienced and competent in that setting or could be task-oriented such as answering call lights, phones, etc
