Job summary

The Registered Nurse will provide safe, compassionate, and comprehensive nursing care to patients in a Med/Surg rehabilitation setting. You will assess patients, monitor vital signs and changes in condition, administer medications and treatments as prescribed, manage IV therapy and other nursing interventions, and maintain accurate patient documentation.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN)
• Active, unencumbered RN license appropriate for Arizona
• Current BLS/CPR certification with hands-on skills verification

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and monitor vital signs and changes in condition.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Manage IV therapy and other nursing interventions.
• Maintain accurate patient documentation.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other care team members to coordinate individualized care plans.
• Educate patients and families about care plans and post-discharge needs.
• Promote patient safety and follow infection-control procedures.
• Support patients throughout their recovery and rehabilitation.

Job description

Responsibilities include assessing patients, monitoring vital signs and changes in condition, administering medications and treatments as prescribed, managing IV therapy and other nursing interventions, and maintaining accurate patient documentation. The RN will collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team to develop and coordinate individualized care plans. The RN will also educate patients and families, promote patient safety, follow infection-control procedures, and support patients throughout their recovery and rehabilitation process.

Education & License

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program ( ADN or BSN )
• Active, unencumbered RN license appropriate for Arizona
• Current BLS/CPR certification with hands-on skills verification

Experience

• Minimum 1 year of recent acute-care experience
• Experience in a hospital, LTAC, or inpatient rehabilitation facility (IRF) preferred/required based on the facility's specific criteria
• Previous Med/Surg nursing experience preferred
• Ability to provide care to patients with complex medical needs and work effectively within an interdisciplinary healthcare team.
