Job summary

Misericordia Heart of Mercy in Chicago is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide skilled nursing care in a residential setting. New grads welcome; training and ongoing professional development are offered to support ID/DD care and person-centered practices.

Full-time and part-time opportunities are available with competitive hourly pay ranging from $36.50 to $48.00 plus shift differentials. Comprehensive benefits include health/vision/dental, PTO, 401(k) with matching, and a referral bonus.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Nursing or official transcripts.
• Good standing with the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation.
• Current BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care in accordance with the Illinois Professional Registered Nurse Practice Act and organizational policies.
• Assess residents' conditions and recognize changes in health status.
• Use clinical judgment and critical thinking to plan and evaluate care.
• Monitor resident progress and document pertinent observations.
• Delegate appropriate care tasks to other staff.
• Collaborate with CNAs, Nurses, and leadership.
• Build meaningful relationships with residents while providing person-centered care.
