Job summary

Talented Medical Solutions is seeking a Registered Nurse with Minimum Data Set (MDS) expertise to coordinate and complete MDS assessments for residents. The role emphasizes regulatory compliance, accurate documentation, and collaboration with the interdisciplinary team to support individualized care plans.

The MDS RN will ensure timely submissions, review documentation for coding accuracy, and maintain CMS/Medicare and facility policies while educating nursing staff on MDS and care planning

Qualifications

• Knows MDS assessment process and RAI/MDS guidelines.
• Experience with accurate documentation and regulatory compliance.
• Ability to work with interdisciplinary teams on care plans.
• Understanding of CMS/Medicare regulations related to MDS.

Responsibilities

Registered Nurse – Minimum Data Set (MDS RN)

The MDS Registered Nurse (MDS RN) is responsible for coordinating and completing the Minimum Data Set (MDS) assessment process to ensure accurate resident assessments, regulatory compliance, and appropriate reimbursement. Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to develop individualized care plans, maintain documentation, and support quality resident care in accordance with federal, state, and facility guidelines.

Requirements

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN) required; BSN preferred.
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
• Current BLS certification preferred or required per facility policy.
• Recent MDS, long-term care (LTC), or skilled nursing facility (SNF) experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of RAI/MDS guidelines and Medicare/Medicaid regulations preferred.
