Worcester Rehab in Worcester, MA is seeking a part-time RN MDS Coordinator to join the reimbursement team. The role focuses on directing the MDS process, coordinating resident assessments, and ensuring CMS compliance.

We offer a competitive hourly rate of $45–$50, weekly pay, and opportunities for career growth within a 146-bed facility serving a large SUDS population. Qualified applicants must hold an RN license and a Nursing Degree, with prior MDS experience.

Qualifications

• Must possess a Nursing Degree from an accredited school of nursing.
• Must possess a current, unencumbered license to practice as an RN in this state.
• Prior experience in MDS required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the MDS process.
• Oversee ADL training for facility and staff.
• Issue and deliver denial notices timely and appropriately.
• Complete and transmit all CMS approved item sets (MDS).
• Follow CMS regulatory guidelines as described in the RAI Manual.
• Protect residents' health information and comply with privacy policies.
• Maintain Medicare meeting minutes per Medicare program agreement.
• Issue Medicare denial letters per CMS regulations.
• Ensure appropriate management of residents' Medicare/Insurance benefits.
• Maintain systems to support billed services.
