NHC HealthCare Bluffton is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team as MDS Coordinator. The MDS Coordinator will provide consistent application and oversight of the center’s Resident Assessment Instrument process, ensuring timely and accurate assessments per CMS and OBRA guidelines.

The role emphasizes leadership, collaboration with an interdisciplinary team, and effective documentation, with a focus on care planning, scheduling, and maintaining compliant medical records.

Qualifications

• Must have South Carolina RN (Registered Nurse) license.
• Experience with MDS processes and Resident Assessment Instrument.
• Strong communication and team player with compassionate care.

Responsibilities

• Provide consistent application and oversight of the MDS process per CMS and OBRA guidelines.
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary team to ensure timely completion of Resident assessment protocols and care plans.
• Monitor the medical record to validate MDS coding support.
• Lead and represent the center in the medical community and with center partners.
