RN, Manager – Radiology / Medical Imaging

Base pay range

$180,000.00/yr - $210,000.00/yr

Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced RN Manager for our Radiology/Medical Imaging department to oversee and manage a large unit or multiple units providing ambulatory services. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining clinical practice standards, managing budgets, and fostering staff development to ensure the highest quality of patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Management Oversight: Provide leadership and management to the Radiology/Medical Imaging units, ensuring efficient operation and high-quality patient care.
  2. Clinical Standards: Develop, implement, and maintain clinical practice standards in alignment with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.
  3. Budget Management: Prepare and manage departmental budgets, ensuring efficient use of resources and adherence to financial goals.
  4. Staff Development: Lead staff development initiatives, including training programs, performance evaluations, and mentorship, to enhance team skills and performance.
  5. Quality Assurance: Monitor and evaluate the quality of care provided in the department, implementing quality improvement measures as necessary.
  6. Interdepartmental Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure coordinated patient care and effective communication.
  7. Compliance: Ensure compliance with the Nurse Practice Act, The Joint Commission, and local, state, and federal regulations.
Qualifications:

Experience:

  1. Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience in management or leadership roles.
  2. Minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience in a healthcare setting.

Education:

  1. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  2. Bachelor’s degree in nursing or a health-related field is required.

Licensure/Certification:

  1. Current Registered Nurse License in California.
  2. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  3. PALS, PEARS, and/or ACLS certifications may be required for specific departmental positions.

Knowledge:

  1. Strong understanding of the Nurse Practice Act, The Joint Commission standards, and other relevant regulations.
  2. Demonstrated strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  3. Ability to work effectively in a Labor/Management Partnership environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. 3 years of experience in an outpatient care setting.
  2. Clinical specialization in the area of practice.

Education:

  1. Master’s degree in nursing or a related field is preferred.
