Job summary

HCA Healthcare Summerville Hospital is seeking an RN Manager Mother Baby to lead nursing practice and operations on a designated unit. The role includes staffing, recruitment, retention, performance evaluations, quality improvement, staff education, and regulatory compliance.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing and 3+ years of acute care experience, with at least 1 year in a leadership role. A Master’s degree in Nursing or Healthcare Administration is preferred.

Job Summary and Qualifications

The RN Manager Mother Baby is responsible for the management of nursing practice and operations on a designated unit. This includes, but is not limited to, the management of: clinical nursing practice, staff recruitment, retention, labor relations, supply chain and budget, staffing, employee performance evaluation, quality improvement, staff education, medical records, internal and external regulatory and survey requirements.

What qualifications you will need:

A. Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required, Master’s degree in Nursing , Healthcare Administration or Business is preferred. 3+ of acute care experience, with 1+ year of leadership experience in healthcare within specialty required. (Preferred degree can substitute for 1+ years of the required experience.)

B. Licensure/Certification/Registration:

• Current license as a registered Nurse to practice in the State of South Carolina required
• BLS-Healthcare Provider required on hire
• NRP-Neonatal Resuscitation Provider-required on hire
• STABLE--required on hire
• Specialty Certification highly preferred within 3 years of hire
