Job summary

HCA Florida Memorial Hospital is seeking an experienced RN Manager Med Surg to lead our Med Surg unit in Jacksonville, FL. You will plan, organize, and direct nursing operations to ensure efficient, high-quality patient care within a dynamic team environment.

Qualified candidates will hold an active RN license, ACLS/BLS certification, and have 2+ years in acute care with supervisory experience. BSN preferred; ASN required.

Qualifications

• Licensed RN in the state or compact license.
• ASN in Nursing; if not BSN, enroll within 6 months and complete within 2 years (BSN preferred).
• Current BLS and ACLS certification from AHA or Red Cross.
• Minimum 2 years in acute care nursing; 1+ year supervisory/leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, staff, and direct unit functions to ensure efficient operations.
• Collaborate with leadership to develop policies and procedures for quality patient care.
• Mentor and supervise nursing staff to maintain high standards.

Job Summary and Qualifications

The RN Manager Med Surg is responsible for planning, organizing, staffing, and directing functions to ensure the effective operation of the unit. In cooperation with the leadership team, the Manager will be instrumental in developing plans, policies, and procedures to efficiently provide quality care.

What qualifications you will need:

• Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State where you practice or must hold Compact/Multi‑State RN License
• Associate's Degree in Nursing or if currently not completed a BSN program then must be enrolled within 6 months of hire into position and completed within 2 years is required; BSN Degree preferred
• A current BLS and ACLS from American Heart Association (AHA or American Red Cross) are required
• 2+ years of nursing experience in an acute care setting required; 1+ years of supervisory/leadership experience
