Job summary

The Bethesda Health Group is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) Manager for Alton Memorial Rehab & Therapy in Alton, IL. This full-time role runs 8:00 am–4:30 pm and requires assigning staff, overseeing resident care, and maintaining high nursing standards under the Director of Nursing.

You will lead rounds, monitor care plans, ensure timely reporting, document appropriately, and support staff development.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of practice.
• Two years of long-term care supervisory experience preferred.
• Three to five years of long-term care or similar nursing experience.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with patients, visitors, and staff.
• Ability to manage time and organize daily schedule to meet productivity standards.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods.
• Ability to lift heavy objects using proper lifting techniques with assistance as needed.
• Ability to transfer and move residents who weigh 200+ lbs with assistance.
• Manual dexterity and ability to document appropriately.
• Ability to manage a diversity of activities.

Responsibilities

• Assigns staff according to policies and ensures equal distribution of duties.
• Supports teamwork and encourages proper resident care within time frames.
• Completes rounds to assess residents and care needs; reports concerns to appropriate staff.
• Receives shift reports and communicates with the Director of Nursing.
• Directs and manages direct patient care using sound nursing judgment.
• Maintains emergency procedures knowledge and safety awareness.
• Completes monthly QAPI and monitors pharmacy recommendations.
