Job summary

Well Life Family Medicine in Amarillo, TX is seeking an experienced RN or LVN to join our growing team and lead back office clinical staff. You will assist providers, float between providers, support IV Therapy, and help improve patient care and workflows.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in a medical office, holds an active RN or LVN license, excels in communication, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Active RN or LVN license in good standing.
• Minimum 3 years of nursing in a medical office or outpatient setting.
• Strong IV therapy and venipuncture skills.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong EMR experience and computer literacy.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and mentor back office staff.
• Delegate daily clinical responsibilities.
• Assist with staff training and workflow improvements.
• Conduct regular back office meetings and coordinate care.
• Help resolve patient concerns with management.
• Maintain adequate clinical inventory and order supplies.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and patient care.
• Perform patient intake, vitals, and documentation.
• Administer IM injections and venipuncture.
• Start, monitor, and discontinue IV therapy; monitor patients.
• Document accurately within the EMR.

Position Overview

As an RN/LVN, you will play a key leadership role in our clinical team by:

• Supervising and supporting back office clinical staff
• Assisting providers during patient care
• Floating between providers as needed
• Supporting our IV Therapy department
• Helping improve clinical workflows and patient experience
• Maintaining a positive, team-oriented environment

We're looking for someone who is proactive, organized, compassionate, and enjoys taking ownership of their responsibilities.

Clinical Duties

• Perform patient intake, vitals, and documentation
• Administer IM injections
• Perform venipuncture and blood draws
• Start, monitor, and discontinue IV therapy
• Prepare and mix IV infusions safely
• Monitor patients throughout treatment
• Document accurately within the electronic medical record (EMR)
