Position Type:

Glenview Health and Rehab is seeking an RN/LPN Weekend Warrior

Responsibilities:

Provide direct and individualized nursing care based on scientific principles. Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

• Consult and coordinate with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans.
• Prepare and administer medications (orally, subcutaneously, through IV) and record prescribed treatments, reporting adverse reactions as per policy.
• Record patients' medical information and vital signs.
• Monitor and adjust specialized equipment and interpret electronic displays.
• Initiate corrective actions for adverse symptoms.
• Provide bedside care for various medical patients.
• Change dressings, insert catheters, start IVs.
• Assist physicians during examinations and treatments.
• Respond to life-saving situations per standards and protocols.
• Participate in discharge planning.
• Utilize time management skills.
• Accurately record all care information in a timely manner.
• Perform other duties as assigned based on setting.

Requirements:

• Current RN/LPN license in the state.
• Up-to-date first aid and CPR certification.
• At least one year of experience as an RN/LPN in a Long Term Care setting (preferred).
• Knowledge of Matrixcare (preferred).
