Job summary

HR NOW is seeking a Weekend Supervisor (LPN or RN) for a nursing home in Shelby, NC to oversee clinical operations on Friday–Sunday, 7am–7pm. You will lead the weekend nursing team and ensure continuity of care.

The role requires NC-licensed LPN/RN, at least 1 year in long-term care, strong communication and leadership, with solid clinical judgment and a compassionate, patient-centered approach. Competitive weekend differentials apply.

Qualifications

• Active LPN or RN license in North Carolina or a compact state.
• Minimum 1 year experience in long-term care preferred.
• Prior supervisory experience is a plus.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Strong clinical judgment and problem-solving abilities.
• Compassionate and patient-focused.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support nursing staff during weekend shifts.
• Provide direct resident care as needed.
• Ensure all care is in accordance with state, federal, and facility standards.
• Respond to emergencies and make decisions regarding resident care.
• Communicate with families and interdisciplinary teams.
• Complete documentation and shift reports in a timely manner.
