Wilmington Health in Wilmington, NC is seeking an experienced RN/LPN to join our Vascular Surgery team in a full-time capacity. The role includes delivering nursing care in the medical office, triage calls, coordinating patient appointments, documenting care, and supporting physicians in procedures.

The position requires an active North Carolina or Compact RN/LPN license and an Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.

Responsabilidades

• Administers nursing care for patients in medical office as directed by Physician or supervisor.
• Performs telephone triage and relays messages to physician.
• Schedules, coordinates and reschedules patient appointments across offices and facilities.
• Documents assessments and interventions accurately.
• Develops patient education materials and clinical guidelines with physicians.
• Oversees LPNs and Medical Assistants.
• Assists MD with procedures and cares for patients in office as trained.
• Performs specialty procedures as trained (IV therapy, infusions, etc.).
• Performs other duties and projects as assigned.

Purpose

Administers nursing care for and treats patients in medical office, as directed by Physician, Advanced Clinical Provider or supervising clinical manager, by performing the following duties:

• Performs telephone triage
• Taking complete, accurate messages from patients and relaying them to appropriate physician
• Schedules, coordinates and reschedules all patient appointments (includes office, outpatient procedures, hospitals, and other medical facilities)
• Utilizes nursing process effectively in assessing patient needs and planning appropriate follow-up/intervention
• Documents assessment and interventions thoroughly and concisely
• Develops patient education materials, triage protocols, and clinical guidelines in collaboration with physicians
• Uses computer system efficiently and accurately
• Oversees LPN’s and MA’s
• Performs specialty procedures as trained and as needed, as well as assisting M.D. with patients in office:
  • IVtherapy
  • IV/Blood product infusions
  • Chemotherapy
  • Cardiac stress tests
• Performs other duties and projects as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

Required

• North Carolina or Compact RN/LPN license
• Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
