Job summary

Primary Health Medical Group is hiring an RN/LPN Triage Nurse in Pediatrics in Idaho. You will support back-office operations, triage patients, assist with injections, and ensure efficient patient flow while delivering compassionate care to children and families.

The ideal candidate holds a current Idaho nursing license (RN or LPN), has venipuncture skills, and brings experience in pediatrics or immunizations. Strong customer service and basic computer skills are expected.

Qualifications

  • Current Idaho nursing license (RN or LPN) required.
  • Venipuncture skills.
  • Experience with pediatric patients or immunizations preferred.
  • Customer service-oriented attitude.
  • Proficient with standard computer systems and pediatric care software.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Back Office with patient flow and paperwork.
  • Provide clinical triage and communication as per protocol.
  • Assist providers with casting, bracing, and injections.
  • Deliver high-quality customer service to families.
  • Document patient encounters and interventions accurately.
  • Relay provider instructions to patients and families.
  • Support non-direct patient care tasks (autoclaving, stocking, filing, etc.).
  • Manage pediatric triage buckets and prior authorizations for providers.

Your day.
  • Assist the Back Office in managing patient flow, paperwork, and customer service
  • Provide clinical triage/communication as defined by protocol or per provider instruction
  • Assist providers in casting, bracing, and injections
  • Provide quality customer service
  • Perform tests and procedures as ordered
  • Accurately document patient encounters and interventions performed
  • Relay provider instructions to patients
  • Assist with all non-direct patient care tasks (autoclaving, stocking rooms, filing, mailing, etc.)
  • Work Pediatric triage "buckets" for all Pediatric providers and Pediatric prior authorizations
  • Administer Pediatric immunizations
  • Update newborn screening cards
  • Assist Front Office staff in managing details of patients, schedules, and referrals
  • Other duties as assigned
Your experience.
  • RNs and LPNs to have a current license from the Idaho Board of Nursing
  • Venipuncture skills
  • Previous clinical experience preferred
  • Previous experience with pediatric catheters preferred
  • Previous experience with pediatric immunizations preferred
  • Customer service-oriented attitude/behavior
  • Computer proficiency and ability to use applicable software as required to perform the essential functions of the job
  • Recommended vaccines to include annual Influenza, Hep B, TDaP, MMR, Varicella, and TB
