Job summary

The MA/LPN/RN role supports examinations, phlebotomy, patient flow, and documentation while upholding HIPAA and quality standards. A comprehensive benefits package is provided with potential growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Completion of a nationally accredited MA program with EMT certification or military medical training considered.
• LPNs and RNs must hold Idaho nursing license.
• Venipuncture skills and clinical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in examination and treatment under provider direction, including casts, braces, and injections.
• Provide clinical triage and follow provider instructions.
• Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize equipment, and check medical devices.
• Perform basic on-site laboratory tests and handle specimens.
• Phlebotomy with proper labeling and processing for all ages.
• Support patient flow, paperwork, and front-office tasks.
• Document encounters accurately and relay provider instructions to patients.
• Maintain HIPAA confidentiality and assist in emergencies.
• Contribute to patient education and care improvement.

Your day.

As an MA/LPN/RN,you need to know how to:

• Assist in the examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a provider and/or physician, which could include casting, bracing, and injections.
• Provide clinical triage/communication as defined by protocol or per provider instructions
• Prepare treatment rooms for examination of patients, including sterilization, cleaning, and checks on medical equipment
• Prepare basic laboratory tests on-premises and prepare laboratory specimens
• Perform phlebotomy involved with the proper collection, labeling, processing, and distribution of specimens for laboratory testing from patients of all ages
• Assist the back office in managing patient flow, paperwork, and customer service
• Provide quality customer service and patient education based on assessment of needs
• Perform tests and procedures as ordered
• Accurately document patient encounters and interventions performed
• Relay provider instructions to patients
• Assist with all non-direct patient care tasks (autoclaving, stocking room, scanning records, mailing, etc.)
• Aid in identifying methods of improving patient care
• Assist Front Office Staff in managing details of patients, schedules, and referrals
• Assist or lead in emergency situations
• Maintain confidentiality regarding patient and business functions of the organization, i.e., HIPAA
• Perform other duties as assigned

• Completion of a nationally accredited MA program (EMT certification and experience/Military medical training andexperience will be considered)
• LPNs and RNs must have a current license from the Idaho Board of Nursing
• Venipuncture skills
• Previous clinical experience preferred
• Customer service-oriented attitude/behavior
• Computer proficiency. Ability to use applicable software as required to perform the essential functions of the job.
• Recommended vaccines to includeannual Influenza, Hep B, TDaP, MMR, Varicella, and TB
