Job summary

Primary Health Medical Group in Idaho is seeking an MA/LPN/RN for Family Practice. The role includes assisting examinations, triage, phlebotomy, vaccinations, and patient education within a team-focused clinic.

Candidates should have completed a nationally accredited MA program, hold Idaho licensure (LPN/RN), and demonstrate strong communication and computer skills. The team offers growth, diverse duties, and patient-centered care in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

  • Completion of a nationally accredited MA program.
  • LPNs and RNs must have a current license from the Idaho Board of Nursing.
  • Venipuncture skills.
  • Previous clinical experience preferred.
  • Customer service‑oriented attitude/behavior.
  • Computer proficiency is required, and the ability to use applicable software as required to perform the essential functions of the job.
  • Recommended vaccines to include annual Influenza, Hep B, TDaP, MMR, Varicella, and TB

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a provider, including casting, bracing, and injections.
  • Provide clinical triage/communication as defined by protocol or provider instructions.
  • Prepare treatment rooms for examination, including sterilization and equipment checks.
  • Perform phlebotomy and prepare laboratory specimens.
  • Administer vaccines and wellness exams.
  • Document patient encounters and interventions accurately.
  • Relay provider instructions to patients.
  • Maintain confidentiality per HIPAA.

Pay

Full-time position, pay starts at $18.25/hour, depending on experience, plus a $2.00 differential for working in Family Practice.

Your day
  • Assist in the examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a provider and/or physician, which could include casting, bracing, and injections
  • Provide clinical triage/communication as defined by protocol or per provider instructions
  • Prepare treatment rooms for examination of patients, including sterilization, cleaning, and checks on medical equipment
  • Prepare basic laboratory tests on‑premises and prepare laboratory specimens
  • Perform phlebotomy involved with the proper collection, labeling, processing, and distribution of specimens for laboratory testing from patients of all ages
  • Administer adult and childhood vaccines and wellness exams
  • Observe disease improvement and help manage chronic conditions
  • Help patients navigate the healthcare system, providing one‑on‑one education, and participating in the patient’s healthcare plan
  • Assist with special procedures not offered in the Urgent Care, i.e., IUDs, Nexplanon, biopsies, diabetic foot care, sleep studies, Cologuards, and circumcisions
  • Assist the back office in managing patient flow, paperwork, and customer service
  • Provide quality customer service and patient education based on assessment of needs
  • Perform tests and procedures as ordered
  • Accurately document patient encounters and interventions performed
  • Relay provider instructions to patients
  • Assist with all non‑direct patient care tasks (autoclaving, stocking room, scanning records, mailing, etc.)
  • Aid in identifying methods of improving patient care
  • Assist Front Office Staff in managing details of patients, schedules, and referrals
  • Assist or lead in emergency situations
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding patient and business functions of the organization, i.e., HIPAA
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Your experience
  • Completion of a nationally accredited MA program
  • LPNs and RNs must have a current license from the Idaho Board of Nursing
