Job summary

Chestnut Health Systems is hiring Registered Nurses (RNs) and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) for our Residential Services team in Bloomington, IL. This role offers hands-on care and collaboration with an interdisciplinary team.

You will administer medications, participate in admission assessments and discharge planning, and support whole-person care in a structured, supportive environment. Flexible scheduling and bonuses are offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Active Illinois RN or LPN license is required.
• Knowledge of pharmacology and medication side effects is required.
• CPR certification is required (or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire).
• Basic computer skills are required, including EMR systems.
• Must successfully complete Chestnut’s background check process.

Responsibilities

• Complete admission assessments and assist in establishing initial care plans.
• Support discharge planning to ensure continuity of care.
• Administer medications and monitor for effectiveness and side effects.
• Coordinate treatment with an interdisciplinary team including medical, behavioral health, and support staff.
• Provide integrated service coordination to support whole-person care.
• Carry out health care plans designed by Practitioners.
• Provide health education to patients and their families.
• Assess patients in-person for acute and ongoing health needs.
• Serve as a liaison between prescribers, pharmacies, and other healthcare providers.
• Promote a safe, therapeutic environment for all patients.
• Uphold Chestnut’s standards for customer service and patient care.

Compensation

The anticipated starting pay for this position ranges from $19.85 to $40.84 per hour, depending on licensure (LPN or RN), experience, and qualifications.

Chestnut considers multiple factors when determining starting pay, including skills, education, experience, local market conditions, and internal equity.

Opportunities for additional earnings may include shift differentials and bonuses, where applicable.
