Job summary

Quincy Medical Group is seeking an RN, LPN, or Medical Assistant to provide primary day‑to‑day clinical support in our Family Practice clinic in Quincy, IL. You will work closely with providers to support patient flow, documentation, care coordination, and daily needs of a busy primary care practice.

The role offers a Monday–Friday schedule (8:00 AM–5:00 PM) with no nights or weekends, in a fast‑paced primary care environment.

Qualifications

  • Current Illinois RN or LPN license required for nursing candidates.
  • High school diploma or GED required for Medical Assistant candidates.
  • CPR certification required or ability to obtain upon hire.
  • Previous primary care, family practice, or ambulatory clinical experience preferred.
  • Experience with electronic medical records preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Room patients, obtain and document vital signs, review medical histories, reconcile medications, and prepare patients for examinations.
  • Assist with examinations, treatments, procedures, and other clinical duties within scope of practice.
  • Respond to patient calls and messages, coordinate medication refills, and assist with follow-up care.
  • Coordinate referrals, laboratory testing, imaging, and other ancillary services as directed by the provider.
  • Provide patient education and reinforce provider instructions regarding medications, treatments, preventive care, and follow-up needs.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation within the electronic medical record.
  • Monitor patient needs and communicate changes or concerns to the provider using appropriate clinical judgment.
  • Provide cross-coverage for other providers and care teams within the pod as patient volumes and staffing needs change.
  • Support patient access initiatives and collaborate with the care team to help patients receive timely, efficient care.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and properly stocked clinical areas.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support Family Practice operations.

Additional compensation may be available through shift differentials, bonuses, and other incentives.
