Position Summary

Delivery and administration of nursing care as directed by physician orders, regulations, and standards of practice to meet the needs of the residents. Continually evaluate nursing care to ensure optimal results.

Shifts:

1st shift or 2nd shift

Job Description
  1. Resident Assessment: Adhere to regulations concerning delivery of care, ensure quality nursing care, interview residents/responsible parties, and participate in the RAI process. Identify needs and provide input for discharge planning.
  2. Develops Plan of Care: Collaborate with residents and care team to develop, document, and revise care plans with measurable goals. Initiate training with residents and responsible parties.
  3. Implements Plan of Care: Execute care plans effectively, document outcomes, and communicate with healthcare professionals about resident status. Use professional judgment to ensure safe, effective care.
  4. Resident Care: Deliver care to ensure resident comfort, transcribe orders accurately, and respond promptly to needs. Follow policies and ensure proper documentation.
  5. Customer Service: Provide compassionate care, maintain positive interactions, and resolve issues effectively.
  6. Residents’ Rights: Promote and ensure compliance with residents' rights, maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.
  7. Resident Safety and Comfort: Practice safe handling, promote safety policies, and support a restraint-free environment.
  8. Pharmacy Knowledge: Maintain up-to-date medication knowledge, ensure proper medication handling, and educate residents and families.
  9. Lab Values: Recognize normal/abnormal lab results and communicate findings appropriately.
  10. Infection Control: Follow infection control practices, educate staff, and monitor compliance.
  11. Safety: Enforce safety policies, maintain a safe environment, and use protective equipment properly.
  12. Ethics and Compliance: Uphold ethical standards, report issues, and ensure confidentiality and compliance with regulations.
