Job summary

Arbor Wellness in Brentwood, TN seeks an RN/LPN to provide client care, administer medications, and take vitals in a mental health and recovery setting. You will assist with admissions, document observations, and collaborate with medical staff to ensure high-quality treatment adherence.

Qualifications

• Current unrestricted licensure in TN.
• Associate's degree in Registered Nursing.
• Able to read, analyze, and interpret policies and directions, and present information effectively, both orally and written.
• Ability to work with chemically dependent and individuals in psychiatric care in a non-judgmental, compassionate fashion.
• Demonstrated ability to establish effective working relationships with staff and referral sources.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw conclusions from varied data.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with taking and recording of daily client vital signs and assessments.
• Administering medications and treatments as per provider protocol.
• Assisting with client admissions and discharges.
• Recording client observations and reporting to the medical team as needed.
• Compassionately interacting with the client population to encourage engagement in treatment.
• Maintain a safe and sanitary environment.
• Attending staff trainings and meetings as required by the employer.
• Communicating with the pharmacy as needed.
• Completing client nursing admissions including intake surveys, blood draws, TB testing, GeneSight swabbing.
• Follows all policies and procedures with regard to client information protection, HIPAA.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Demonstrated ability to establish effective working relationships with other staff as well as with referral sources
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions from a wide variety of data and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
• Experience working with people in recovery and/or in mental health treatment a plus
