Job summary

Job description

POSITION SUMMARY

RN/LPN is responsible for providing care to clients, including but not limited to administering medication, taking vitals, assessing medical needs, and collaborating with the medical team.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

• Assisting with the taking and recording of daily client vital signs and assessments
• Administering medications and treatments as per provider protocol
• Assisting with client admissions and discharges
• Recording client observations and reporting to the medical team as needed
• Compassionately interacting with the client population to encourage engagement in treatment
• Maintaining a safe and sanitary environment
• Attending staff trainings and meetings as required by the employer
• Communicating with the pharmacy as needed
• Completing client nursing admissions, including intake surveys, blood draws, TB testing, GeneSight swabbing
• Following all policies and procedures regarding client information protection, including alcohol-drug client confidentiality and HIPAA
• Other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS

• Current unrestricted licensure in GA as an RN or LPN (as required by facility)
• Able to read, analyze, and interpret policies and directions, and present information effectively, both orally and written
• Ability to work with both chemically dependent and individuals in psychiatric care in a non-judgmental, compassionate fashion
• Demonstrated ability to establish effective working relationships with other staff as well as referral sources
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions from a wide variety of data and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
• Experience working with people in recovery and/or in mental health treatment a plus
