Job summary
Missouri Veterans Home is seeking licensed practical nurse or registered nurse professionals to provide compassionate care to our veterans. You will assess needs, develop care plans, and collaborate with physicians to ensure high-quality care on assigned shifts.
Positions offer competitive hourly pay with day, evening, and night shifts. A weekend differential of $1.50/hour is available, along with robust benefits and opportunities for professional growth within the Missouri Veterans Commission.
Qualifications
- Licensure as a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse in Missouri, in good standing.
- A recent graduate may practice as a graduate nurse until results of licensure exam are received or until 90 days after graduation.
Responsibilities
- Assess, organize, and plan staff duties on assigned shift.
- Assess needs of Veterans and ensure services match those needs.
- Document nursing assessments, interventions, and evaluations in EMR.
- Give medications and treatments as prescribed with follow-up.
- Assist Veterans with transfers, positioning, feeding, and personal care.
- Assist Veterans upon admission and/or discharge.
- Participate in unit staff orientation.
