Job summary

Eventide-Fargo is seeking a RN/LPN Charge to cover every third weekend (Friday–Sunday) for 36 hours per pay period. The shifts run 6:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.

and include holiday rotation. The RN/LPN Charge will provide and assure the highest level of nursing care in accordance with federal, state and local standards, and Eventide policies. Ideal candidate must hold a current North Dakota RN license and be in good standing in all states where licensed.

Responsibilities

• Assesses residents' health status through health assessments, observations, and interviews.
• Plans, implements, and evaluates plans of care; updates plans as needed.
• Administers medications and monitors treatments for effectiveness.
• Provides direct nursing care following policies and standards.
• Documents accurately in residents' records per policies.
• Provides leadership to staff and ensures shift tasks are completed.
• Ensures adequate staffing levels for each shift.
• Communicates residents' needs to care staff.
• Interacts with physicians and other health facilities as needed.
• Participates in resident care conferences and staff education.

RN/LPN Charge

Eventide-Fargo is currently looking for a RN/LPN Charge to every third weekend (Friday, Saturday and Sunday) for 36 hours per pay period. The hours are 6:00a-6:30p and includes holiday rotation.

The RN/LPN Charge nurse provides and assures that the highest degree of nursing care is provided and that it is consistent with the current federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations as well as the philosophy, policies and procedures of Eventide. Assures that this care is provided in a manner that promotes the residents’ rights, dignity, freedom of choice, and their individuality.

Ideal Candidate

• Must have a current North Dakota RN License

• Must be in good standing in all states in which you have ever been licensed as a nurse in the United States.

Essential Job Functions

• Assesses residents' health status and needs through physical assessments, observation and interviews on a continuing basis.

• Plans, implements, and evaluates residents' plans of care. Updates and makes appropriate changes in plans of care whenever necessary. Plans of care include interdisciplinary care plans, physician orders and NA-R care plans.

• Administers medications and treatments and monitors medications and treatments for effectiveness.

• Give direct nursing care to residents whenever necessary and according to established nursing policies, procedures and standards.

• Provides accurate documentation in the residents’ records according to established resident care policies, procedures and standards.

• Provides effective leadership to subordinate staff, which may include disciplinary measures.

• Ensures that work responsibilities of subordinate staff are completed thoroughly and accurately within scheduled shifts and according to established nursing policies, procedures and standards.

• Provides information, education and support for residents and their families.

• Ensures adequate staffing levels for a scheduled shift.

• Communicates the needs of the residents to all the resident care staff of the unit.

• Interacts with physicians and other health care facilities as needed, according to the needs of the residents.

• May act as a resource person during a scheduled shift and consult different units or departments.

• Continually updates nursing skills and knowledge by attending in-services, continuing education programs and staff meetings.

• Helps to coordinate and participates in resident care conferences.

• Assist in orientation/training of new team members.

• Provide individual attention, which encourages residents’ ability to or attain the highest physical, mental, psychosocial well-being.

• Comply with rules and regulations as set forth by the ND Department of Health and the Center for Medicare/Medicaid services.
