Job summary

Eventide Fargo invites applications for a part-time LPN Charge Nurse in its Senior Living unit. The role supports nursing care delivery for residents, with shifts 7:00a-7:30p and every third weekend, plus holiday rotations.

Ideal candidate holds a North Dakota LPN license and maintains good standing in all jurisdictions. You will monitor resident status, follow care plans, administer meds, document care, and help train staff.

Qualifications

• Must have current North Dakota LPN License.
• Must be in good standing in all states in which you have ever been licensed as a nurse in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Monitors residents’ needs and health status through physical observations and interviews on a continuing basis.
• Observes and follows the residents’ plan of care; assists the RN in changes to the plan when necessary.
• Monitors medications and treatments for effectiveness; administers medications and treatments when necessary.
• Provides direct nursing care to residents according to policies and standards.
• Complies with state health regulations and internal procedures.
• Provides accurate documentation in residents’ records.
• Assists in orientation and training of new team members.
• Reports resident needs, problems, and observations to the RN and physician.
• Ensures adequate staffing levels for a scheduled shift.
• Monitors subordinate staff and participates in the disciplinary process if needed.
• Ensures that work responsibilities of subordinate staff are completed thoroughly within shifts and policies.
• Provides information, education, and support for residents and their families.
• Communicates needs of residents to Senior Living staff in the building.
• Interacts with physicians and other health care facilities as needed.
• Continually updates nursing skills through in-services and education.
• May carry out other tasks in addition to listed duties.

Eventide- Fargo is currently looking for a part time LPN Charge Nurse to work 36 hours per pay period in our Senior Living. The hours are 7:00a-7:30p with every third weekend (Saturday, and Sunday) and various week days with a holiday rotation.

The LPN Charge nurse provides and assures that the highest degree of nursing care is provided and that it is consistent with the current federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations as well as the philosophy, policies and procedures of Eventide. Assures that this care is provided in a manner that promotes the residents’ rights, dignity, freedom of choice, and their individuality.

Essential Job Functions

• Ensures that work responsibilities of subordinate staff are completed thoroughly and accurately within scheduled shifts and according to established policies, procedures, and standards.
• Provides information, education, and support for assigned residents and their families.
• Communicates the needs of residents to Senior Living staff in the building.
• Interacts with physicians and other health care facilities as needed, according to the needs of the residents.
• Continually updates nursing skills and knowledge by attending in-services, continuing education programs and staff meetings.
