Job summary

Greencroft Communities’ Walnut Hills facility is seeking a compassionate RN or LPN to join our Assisted Living team. This full‑time role offers 12‑hour shifts and the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with residents.

You’ll provide hands-on nursing care, supervise Nursing Assistants, document care accurately, administer medications, and communicate changes to physicians, families, and the care team to ensure safe, respectful, and individualized resident care.

Qualifications

• Current, active RN or LPN license in Ohio in good standing.
• Ability to maintain licensure as required by the facility and state.
• Experience with older adults or long-term care preferred.
• Strong observation, assessment, and clinical judgment skills.
• Knowledge of medications for older adults and potential side effects.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to lead, supervise, and collaborate with Nursing Assistants.
• Compassionate, patient-focused approach when working with residents.
• Genuine desire to build relationships and make a difference.

Responsibilities

• Complete incident reports and other required documentation.
• Help ensure the unit is stocked with medications and supplies.
• Work collaboratively with Nursing Assistants, nurses, residents, families, and team.
• Help create a positive, respectful environment for residents.

What You’ll Do

As an RN/LPN at Walnut Hills, you’ll help lead the delivery of quality care and serve as a trusted advocate for our residents. Your responsibilities will include:

• Provide direct nursing care and oversee care provided by Nursing Assistants.
• Receive and provide thorough shift‑to‑shift resident reports.
• Assign and supervise duties of Nursing Assistants.
• Monitor residents for changes in condition, needs, and overall well‑being.
• Complete routine nursing assessments and monitoring, including vital signs, weights, food intake, and behaviors.
• Administer medications and treatments and perform diagnostic tests as ordered.
• Accurately document resident care and changes in resident status.
• Communicate changes in condition to physicians, families, and appropriate members of the care team.
• Process physician orders, admissions, and discharges.
• Complete incident reports and other required documentation.
• Help ensure the nursing unit is properly stocked with medications and supplies.
• Work collaboratively with Nursing Assistants, nurses, residents, families, and other members of the care team.
• Help create a positive, respectful environment where residents feel safe, valued, and cared for.

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for a nurse who brings both clinical knowledge and genuine compassion to their work.

You’ll bring:

• Current, active RN or LPN license in the state of Ohio in good standing.
• Ability to maintain licensure as required by the facility and state.
• Previous experience working with older adults or in long‑term care is preferred.
• Strong observation, assessment, and clinical judgment skills.
• Knowledge of medications commonly administered to older adults and their potential side effects.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to lead, supervise, and collaborate with Nursing Assistants and other team members.
• A patient, professional, positive, and compassionate approach when working with residents, families, and coworkers.
• A genuine desire to build relationships and make a difference in the lives of older adults.
