Responsibilities

Job Requirements

This position involves caring for a young man in his own home. The environment is clean and tidy with a few extras that make his care a bit more comfortable for both the care provider and him. The home has a wet bathroom and a ceiling-suspended Hoyer. This individual lives with his mother who is an amazing support and will participate in care as needed. In this position, you will have the assistance of an aide for all care and tasks.

Responsibilities

• Tracheotomy care and deep suctioning.
• Use of cough assist.
• Establish and follow bowel program with stimulation.
• Suprapubic catheter care.
• Take vitals.
• Use nebulizer.
• Use a ceiling-suspended Hoyer.
• Perform all personal care tasks (showering, nail care, hair care, beard care, etc.).
• Range of motion and stretches.
• Dressing and undressing.
• Use powered wheelchair.
• Use AFO and body braces.
• Caring for individuals with spinal cord injuries.

Additional Requirements

• Driver’s license and reliable vehicle.
• Good standing licensure (RN/LPN).
• Confidence in your abilities and training.
• Can work with little oversight.
