Job summary

Capitol View Transitional Care Center, located within Regions Hospital and part of HealthPartners, is hiring an RN/LPN for a 0.5 FTE night shift position. The role focuses on direct patient care with a favorable patient-to-staff ratio and requires Minnesota licensing and CPR certification.

Orientation and travel to Bloomington are required. Starting pay is $36.47/hour for RN and $28.29/hour for LPN, with pay based on previous nursing experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Currently licensed as a LPN or RN with the Minnesota Board of Nursing.
• Current CPR Card Certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to patients by assisting with ADLs, monitoring health status, and supporting care plans.
• Prepare room preparation and discharge of patients.
• Answer call lights and provide follow-up to ensure needs are met.
• Respond to questions from patients and families, directing them as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Capitol View Transitional Care Center is a state-of-the-art true transitional care unit (TCU) located in Regions Hospital (we are part of the HealthPartners organization as a separate nonprofit organization.) We provide quality care to patients from 18+ years of age who are in need of a short-term stay. Our average length of stay is 17 days. As a RN/LPN your patient to nursing staff ratio is three times lower than the average nursing home. In this role you will be responsible for the following job duties:

• Provide direct care to patients by providing ADLs, accessing physical and mental status of patient to determine efficacy of treatment and care plan, administer medication complete all documentation, etc.
• Prepare room preparation and room discharge of patients
• Answer call lights and provide follow-up to ensure needs are met.
• Answer questions from patients and families or direct them to the appropriate person.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

FTE

0.5; 20 hours per week

Work Schedule

1030pm-7am; Shifts Monday-Friday will vary based on business needs; Required to work every other weekend.

Salary

LPN starting rate at $28.29/hour. Pay rate is based off previous LPN work experience.

RN starting rate at $36.47/hour. Pay rate is based off previous RN work experience.

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Currently licensed as a LPN or RN with the Minnesota Board of Nursing
• Current CPR Card Certification
• Must be able to attend and have reliable transportation to and from HealthPartners' Nursing Orientation in Bloomington on Tuesday and Wednesday from 8am-430pm.
