The Cypress of Charlotte in Charlotte, NC is hiring a RN/LPN for full-time 2nd and 3rd shifts. You will provide direct nursing care to residents, supervise Quality-of-Life Specialists/Resident Assistants, and participate in shift-change reporting and medication administration per MAR.

Qualifications include NC or compact LPN/RN license, 3 months of elderly care experience, and strong teamwork, communication, and clinical judgment.

• Must have valid NC or compact state LPN/RN license with no subst. findings of abuse, neglect or misappropriation of resident property.
• Minimum of 3 months' experience as a LPN/RN, preferably elderly care.
• Comprehensive knowledge of nursing principles and practices.
• Ability to observe changes in resident's condition and act accordingly.
• Ability to demonstrate understanding, patience, tact and courtesy in dealings with employees, residents, family, visitors and volunteers.
• Ability to supervise staff and maintain good working relationships among personnel.
• Ability to cooperate with other health professionals and coordinate efforts toward maximum resident care.
• Ability to recognize problems, make decisions and solve problems.
• Ability to demonstrate sound judgment in emergency situations.

Position: RN/LPN, Full-Time

Schedule:

• 2nd Shift: 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• 3rd Shift: 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Pay:

• Pay Range RN $38.00 - $42.77 per hour depending on experience plus shift differential
• Pay Range LPN: $30.00 - $33.26 per hour depending on experience plus shift differential

Position Summary:

This position provides direct nursing care to residents and delegates and supervises the care provided by our Quality-of-Life Specialists/Resident Assistants.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Receive and give report at shift change for LPN/RN and CNA. Make Rounds. Report all deficiencies to the Director of Nursing.
• Count and sign off on narcotics at the beginning and the end of shift.
• Pass medications, documenting on Medication Administration Record (MAR), and notifies Director of Nursing of any incomplete documentation.
• Apply treatments, lotions, dressings, etc. as needed, documenting in treatment record.
• Document on residents per protocol.
• Notify family and physicians of change in resident condition and as necessary.
• Monitor dining room during meals, ensuring all necessary staff are present.
• Replenish supplies for the medicine cart, medicine room and resident rooms. If there is a shortage, orders through central supply personnel.
